Recondite, born Lorenz Brunner in Lower Bavaria, Germany, is a renowned electronic music producer and live performer celebrated for his distinctive fusion of ambient, deep house, and techno. Drawing inspiration from his rural upbringing, he began creating music in a home studio before relocating to Berlin in 2009. In 2011, he founded Plangent Records, releasing his debut EP, "Plangent #001," to critical acclaim. His 2012 album, "On Acid," showcased his innovative approach to acid techno, further establishing his reputation in the electronic music scene. Recondite's subsequent albums, including "Hinterland" (2013), "Iffy" (2014), and "Placid" (2015), have been released on esteemed labels such as Ghostly International and Innervisions. Known for his emotive live performances that adapt to the audience's mood and venue atmosphere, he has graced stages worldwide, from intimate clubs to major festivals like Time Warp and Melt! His unique sound and dynamic sets earned him a nomination for the DJ Awards in 2014 in the "Electronic Live Performance" category. Continuing to push the boundaries of electronic music, Recondite remains a significant and influential figure in the industry.
