Tomorrow, it begins: the start of two celebrated house music artists taking over the club this weekend. On Friday, British DJ and name-known-across-the-globe Chris Lake makes his way back to Audio. Saturday, deep house extraordinaire Alex Cruz performs his first-ever live set at the club, including the incorporation of multiple live instruments for a breaktaking sonic experience.
Friday, February 9th: Chris Lake
Chris Lake has been a music-maker and house music fan since his early teenage years when he first found himself falling in love with progressive house music. Soon after buying his first synthesizer and dabbling in production, he began to share his music with the world and shape his own sound – a unique intermixing of enigmatic elements including tech-house, progressive house, funk, electro and more.
Today, Lake has released on numerous well-known labels including OWSLA, Ultra and Rising. He was nominated for a Grammy in 2012 for his work with Deadmau5 on 4×4=12, and has since had multiple of his productions reach international acclaim such as “I Want You” and “Operator”.
Advanced tickets are sold out for this show, but you can reserve a table by emailing email@example.com.
Saturday, February 10th: Alex Cruz
Dutch DJ and producer Alex Cruz started his career in Amsterdam DJing at school parties. He began his musical career in a duo under the name Stone Factory and, shortly after, started the label Crescendo Music with his partner.
Down the road, after breaking out of Stone Factory, Cruz began to evolve his sound into one meant to captivate those on the dance floor and create an environment in which they can offer their attention to the music in a feel-good way rather than focusing on the chaos of life. As he describes on his Facebook, his “true aim is to make the world a better place by bringing depth, love, and joy through music to as many hearts as possible.”
