This Thanksgiving, We’re Grateful For The Artists

The holiday season is upon us and with Thanksgiving just a few days away, the team at Audio is reflecting on how grateful we are to have had such talented artists perform at the club.

We’re taking a look back at the past year of music and the incredible sounds that has come through our beloved venue. Many of the artists that we’ve loved to see perform on our Funktion One system have released new EPs, tracks and albums – see for yourself below.

AC Slater – Outsiders

Bass house icon and Night Bass leader AC Slater has finally released his full-length debut album, Outsiders. As he writes on Soundcloud, the album “captures Slater’s position on the fringe of the music industry and even within the underground scene itself while simultaneously crossing over into mainstream music.”

The album’s name is tied to its massive list of collaborators, inventors, musical explorers – from the likes of Acid Mouth, Chris Lorenzo and Shift K3y to Rome Fortune, Tchami and so many more – and exhibits the concept that each artist is an innovator and an outsider in their own unique ways.

Olive – You’re Not Alone (Hannah Wants Edit)

Hannah Wants is an Audio favorite and arguably one of the most talented female DJs on the electronic music circuit currently. Her expertise behind the decks has earned her titles such as Best Breakthrough DJ by DJ Mag and Mixmag’s Best Breakthrough DJ.

Just a few days ago, she took the much-loved, classic track “You’re Not Alone” by Olive – originally released in 1996 – and put her own signature twist on it. Her original aim was to rework it so she could play it in her own sets, but also shared it with her fans – and we’re stoked that she did.

Treasure Fingers – Sweat EP

Treasure Fingers teamed up with Vanilla Ace to drop a new EP, released this week, called Sweat. With the southern charm and beloved bounce of Treasure Fingers’ style infused with a twist of Vanilla Ace’s UK sound, it’s an EP that will likely have dance floors across the country grooving.

The two-track release features two classically conditioned house tracks called “Sweat” and “Crazy” on Treasure Fingers’ label, Psycho Disco!.

Jesse Rose – “Believe” (Claude VonStroke Remix)

Dirtybird godfather, house music aficionado and jack-of-all-trades Claude VonStroke has been producing under the alias Claude VonStroke since 2005 and has since become an internationally known phenomenon.

His newest release, put out a month ago, remixes an already fantastic track from Jesse Rose. The track features VonStroke’s distinctive take on the Rose track for a mellow, yet moving beat, putting two of the most iconic house music artists into one bassline.

Yotto – North EP

Yotto – who performed at Audio for our four year anniversary earlier this year – is an unbelievably skilled, dynamic force on the decks. His production skills have resulted in stunning work – he has had 5 tracks recognized by Pete Tong as “Essential New Tunes” and two selected as “Hottest Records In The World” on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show.

The Finnish producer and Anjunadeep artist just released his new 5-track EP, North, earlier this month. It’s a hauntingly beautiful, carefully pieced and powerful selection of tracks that has us completely in awe – well worth listening to from start to finish.
