Our guests this weekend span across numerous genres and are vastly versatile in their productions. Here’s a taste of their sounds.

Thursday, October 26: Sofi Tukker (DJ set)

Ironically enough, Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern – the two individuals that make up Sofi Tukker – began producing music together before they became friends.

The duo met at while playing at an art gallery while they were enrolled at Brown University. Sophie was performing in a trio at the time and Tucker remixed one of her songs on the spot, ultimately creating the bassline for the sound we know as Sofi Tukker today.

Sophie is a Germany native and Tucker hails from Boston. They find the creation of dance music to be a “spiritual thing” – Sophie explained in an interview that “It’s about being completely absorbed by rhythm and vibration, so much so that the petty stuff of life stops mattering.”

Their sound is upbeat, energetic and fun, perfect to start a dance floor groove. Their first big hit, Drnkee, was released and April 2016 and was later nominated for a Grammy for Best Dance Recording in 2017.

Friday, October 27: MK

MK – real name: Marc Kinchen – hails from Detroit and has been building a name for himself in the music scene since 1989. The talented musician has played a significant role in shaping the sounds of house music that we’ve all come to know and love.

His productions have been massive hits for well over 20 years. Two of his first big hits, “Always” and “Love Changes”, reached the #1 slot on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1993 and 1994 respectively.

MK has been in and out of the dance music world over the course of the career. He took a hiatus in the late 1990s and decided to dabble in various other musical genres including hip-hop, R&B and pop. He later found himself lost in his musical endeavor but realized he wanted to return to house music – and after being invited to play at a Hot Natured party by Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, he was locked back in.

Saturday, October 28: Dr. Fresch

Tony Fresch, better known as his alias Dr. Fresch, is a Los Angeles-based artist that has become an Audio mainstay, bringing an unbelievable level of passion to the decks each time he performs.

Dr. Fresch was created by Tony in 2012, the year in which he released an array of remixes on labels including Dim Mak Records and Prep School Recordings. His debut EP came shortly after, and the rest was history.

This impressive producer has a remarkable style that plays on the borders between bass house, g-house and deep house with a foundation of hip-hop and a twist of trap. His sets are fast-paced and high energy – a perfect fit for our Halloween celebration.
