Friday, August 18: Nora En Pure
Daniela Niederer – also known by her stage name, Nora En Pure – is often looked at as one of the most respected female artists on the house music scene. Niederer, who was born in South Africa and later moved to Switzerland where she grew up, brings an international touch to her own deep house sound.
Niederer’s international upbringing and South African roots are shown in her music, as she infuses a sense of adventure into her own productions with the aim of sending listeners to faraway, exotic places. She found her way into dance music when she was first introduced to a friend’s studio and fell in love with the flexibility the art of production had to offer. Her career jumped into high gear when she released her hit track “Come With Me” in 2013. From there, she said in an interview, her booking requests began to rise, and the rest was history.
Nora En Pure’s sound interweaves mesmerizing vocals and melodies into a heavy deep house base that has proven to be a hit in clubs and festivals across the globe. She has released on labels including Spinnin’ Records, Tokenish and Enormous Tunes.
Pre-sale tickets are sold out for this evening, but you can guarantee entry with a table purchase. You can find more details here.
Saturday, August 19: Michael Calfan
French DJ and producer Michael Calfan has been in the house music game since he entered the scene in 2008 out of Paris. At the ripe age of 15, he dove in and started off his career with a focus on electro-house tracks inspired by the likes of Modjo and Daft Punk.
His sound today focuses on the incorporation of emotion, sensitivity and inspiration into his own twist of soul house. His sound today has evolved immensely – from heavy-hitting party starters to a more melodic, sentimental and emotion-evoking vibe, he aims to make any crowd dance and simultaneously take his tracks to heart.
One of Calfan’s biggest hit, “Treasured Soul”, was released in 2015 and has a whopping 1.96 million plays on SoundCloud. “Nobody Does It Better”, released shortly after in 2016, also skyrocketed among fans, with 5.56 million Soundcloud plays. These numbers make one thing clear: Calfan has a magic touch and knack for production that with soothe souls and melt hearts, all while keeping an audience moving.
